World-famous doll artist Denise McMillan is a Native American Indian and lifetime resident of North Carolina. She has been creative since early childhood, beginning with costumes for her dolls and winning a doll design contest with her very first entry. She taught herself to sculpt in porcelain and soon her dolls were sought after by collectors around the world.
